APP Lesson
Project Description
This project and lesson presentation is about the Flowboard Presentation APP and how it can be used with high school and adult learners. This lesson presentation is for adult learners of different ages. The learners are graduate students with different levels of experience with using apps in education and technology in general. The presentation reached different types of learners; such as, auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. Auditory learners were reached when I verbally explained the app and how it can be used in education. I reached visual learners by using a PowerPoint presentation with visuals and videos. I reached kinesthetic learners if they chose to download the app during the lesson presentation to see how it works in a hands on way. The learning that occurs during the lesson presentation is on the Understanding and Applying levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
Demonstrates Mastery
The APP lesson demonstrates mastery of outcome three by implementing research that led to improved technology integration
and teacher adoption. I reviewed a variety of different apps before I chose the Flowboard Presentation App for my lesson presentation. I studied how it works and can be used for educational purposes. When I presented the app I demonstrated how the app can be an effective technology tool for teachers to use with their students. A few of the learners I presented to said they would consider using this app with their students in the future.
Benefits
This presentation can benefit instructors who teach at a high school and college level. The Flowboard Presentation App could be used with middle school and maybe even elementary learners but the app and its features are more advanced and there is a small/moderate learning curve, which is why the app would be used best with high school and adult learners (college level). This presentation can introduce high school teachers and college professors to a great creation app that they can use with their students. The app will help their students reach the type of learning that occurs in the upper levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
