Digital Citizenship Statement

It is my responsibility as an Instructional Designer to make sure my learners understand what it means to be a good digital citizen. I will ensure that my learners understand fair use, copyright laws, creative commons licensing, and how to cite sources in order to properly use content (like images) that they find on the web. It is also important for my learners to understand netiquette and to remember when they are communicating with someone through the web (like by email) they are communicating with a person. Even though they cannot see the person, the person is affected by what they say. A good rule for my learners to remember is to not say something to another person on the web that they would not say to them in person.
